Today we were visited by our new parish priest, Rev Tensin Perera CC. He lead in prayer as we remembered the faithful departed. He also told us about his home country, Sri Lanka, which is an island in Asia. They have a population of more than 20 million. Sri Lanka was once called Ceylon before the country achieved official independence in 1961.
The circus came to town and boy were we impressed! We were treated to contortionist and balancing acts, a display by the clown-duo, Sausage and Saucepan, juggling and hulahoop performances and a visit from the strongest and tallest man in the world. Everyone had a joyous time!Mc Cormack’s Family Circus will visit the school on the 15th of November at 1pm. The hour-long show is sure to impress and we look forward to the spectacular display!

For art, the Junior Room had great fun designing a new dress and hat for Winnie the Witch. Winnie is usually very quiet in Threen N.S but she may sometimes make a surprise visit at Halloween. She asked that we use any fabric and fibre we may have to design a new dress that she could go to the disco on Friday night in Castlerea. So now Winnie will have a great range of clothes to choose from…BUT which one will she choose to wear?
