Threen National School is a two-teacher, well-equipped ‘country school’. We have a Resource Teacher, visiting Learning Support Teacher, Special Needs Assistant and a School Secretary. Built in 1873, renovated and remodelled in 2007, the school has well-appointed classrooms conducive to learning.

Our mission here in Threen is to help children reach their academic, spiritual, moral and social potential. On completition of the child’s school career, we hope he/she will have developed effective communication skills, a sense of self worth, , a thirst for learning, progressing to take his/her place as a valued member of society.
