End of Year Variety Show

The students put on a brilliant display of some of their talents for the end of year Variety Show.

There was a wonderful combination of drama, music, song, dance, gymnastics, comedy and magic.

We welcomed a huge crows of proud parents, grand-parents and past pupils

who were delighted to see the children perform on stage.

Well done to all the children who participated in the show and who practiced so hard in the lead up to the show.

It was a very entertaining afternoon.

Sports Day 2024

As always, we had a wonderful day for Sports Day. The students participated in a wide variety of games and activities including parachute and co-operative games,  basketball, hurling, football , rounders and long jump.

Everyone also participated in a selection of races including some old favourites – egg and spoon, 3 legged race, sack race, relays, sprints, hopping and balloon bursting etc.

The students enjoyed themselves and received a medal for participation.

Everyone was treated to ice-cream afterward to finish off the day.

Our Shoes Campaign

A huge thank you to the children who have collected over 130 pairs of shoes

which were sent to the children in need in South Africa.

The families and members of the school community

were very generous in donating these items to children who really need them.

Buddy Reading

All the children came together this morning and participated in a session of Buddy Reading.

Everyone listened well and enjoyed they stories. It was a worthwhile activity and gave everyone an opportunity to work together.

Clean up and Fairy Garden

Students did a Spring/ Summer clean up of our school grounds and garden area. They collected any rubbish and also gathered weeds and got the garden ready for Summer. We noticed some lovely new growth in the garden also.

The children have been busy adding decorations to the fairy garden and painting some pots and furniture also to make the garden look even prettier than it already is.

Green for St Patrick’s Day

We dressed in green gear for St. Patrick’s Day! Everyone made a great effort to wear green clothes and we even had a special treat of green and orange jelly and ice-cream! Students from 1st- 6th class participated in a Trath na gCeist as as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.

MS Readathon

During the Months of October and November, our students took part in the MS Readathon. We read lots of books and raised awareness and money for people with MS. Everyone enjoyed extra reading time at school and home. Well done to those who raised money using thier sponsorship cards. Thank you to everyone who donated to this good cause!
