On Friday 10th February 2017 our school took part in Operation Transformation 10@10. This is to promote physical Education in all schools throughout Ireland. So we stopped to do our 10 minutes of exercise.

The children completed online quizzes prior to Engineering Week 2017 to find out what job in engineering may suit their interests!
Watching the science programme ‘Insiders’ on wet days!
On Friday last, February 3rd 2017, we were delighted to have Jen and Dara from the RTE series, Operation Transformation join us in our school for the 10 @ 10. There was great excitement on the day among the children and staff.
We were very lucky to have been chosen from the thousands of schools in Ireland to be involved in the filming of the show.
Both classes were busy in January learning different dances with Kate. A big thank you to Kate for all her hard work!!
The whole school danced to ‘Saturday Night’ and the senior room had learned a dance to Cheryl Cole ‘Say My Name Remix’. By the end of the day the children had no problem behind the camera.

We discovered how to make lemonade fizzy and 5th and 6th class decided to make a PowerPoint based on the scientific process we used. We made a title page, a page listing the materials, a page for our hypothesises, a page detailing our procedure and a results/ conclusion page.
