Dogs Trust

We had a lovely visit from Aoife from Dogs Trust today. She spoke to us about dog vaccinations, micro-chipping, grooming and bringing the dog for regular health check-ups. She explained  about feeding dogs with correct dog food. She also reminded us about walking the dogs and training them. She told us an interesting fact, that a dog’s nose is 5000 times better than a human nose making them really good at detecting things at the scene of a crime, or to navigate if they are a guide dog. She demonstrated how to act if we are afraid around a dog and we participated in some role play situations on how to approach and rub a dog that we don’t know. We learned a lot!
